GREG CHARTRAND
Belleville, Ontario - Canada

I would like to nominate my husband Greg Chartrand as the ninth honorary fan to be installed in the Packers Fan Hall of Fame. I believe that he is the best candidate to honor in regards to his dedication and loyalty to the Green Bay Packers. I try to tell him that he has an obsession but he tries to tell me that it's dedication.

First of all, we live in a town of approximately 50,000 people in Belleville, Ontario-Canada. In our community, we are known for owning/driving the "Green Bay Packers Truck." Two years ago, my husband was the manager of a sign shop. As a promotional feature for auto-wrapping, he was allowed to wrap our truck. When he came home from work one day and asked me "Honey, would you have a problem with a wrap on the truck?" and I said "no", then he said, "Do you know what I would like to do?" and I said "Something Green Bay right." Needless to say, I was right.

We own a GMC Jimmy 4x4, and the artwork shown on the wrap is "eye-catching" and to me was "breath taking" the first time I saw it. On the sides of the truck, you have the side view of the field including the field, goal posts, sidelines, players and fans. Also, on the side is a blown up Ahman Green hurdling with the ball. On the tailgate is the history of the Packers, including the very first Packers Team - there is a picture of the Acme Packers. There is also a display of each of the Super bowls that Green Bay has won; including the teams they played (helmets) and the scores of those games. The truck also includes a Green Bay Packers steering wheel cover, reflective Green Bay Packers logos on the rims and side windows and across the front windshield is says "Green Bay Packers." We live in an apartment building and he has even made his own "Packers parking only" sign. You would have to see the truck, it's amazing! People everywhere we go are always taking pictures of it, and one day my husband was also asked if he was a scout for the Packers.

Furthermore, for our anniversary this year I bought him tickets to the Buffalo Bills and Green Bay Packers game November 5th in Buffalo and he will be driving the truck down there. This will be the first time ever my husband has been to a Green Bay Packers game.

His obsession/dedication does not sop there, our house has Green Bay Packers collectable memorabilia all over and he even uses the spare room to display all his collectibles. Hew wears Green Bay Packers clothing (t-shirts, sweatshirts, coat, and hats) he ahs Packers DVD's, posters, footballs, dishware, pillows and a model size transport truck with Green Bay Packers labeled on it.

My husband is also a loyal member of the Packers website. He currently has a Green Bay Packers email address (stylintruck@gbpackers.fan.com), his screen saver and background are both something Green Bay. When you log into the Internet the homepage is even www.packers.com.

In conclusion, I think my husband has proven his loyalty and dedication to his one and only football team. Please make his dream come true of being affiliated with the Green Bay Packers from a Canadian perspective on being what the ULTIMATE FAN truly means.
