BETTY DEBROWER - Cedar Rapids, Iowa

DeBrower

I am a recently retired Operating Room Nurse Director, who bought myself a share of the Pack when the stock option was offered. (That was after I spent my kids inheritance on Packer items from the 1996 Super Bowl). When asked what kind of return I receive on my stock, I reply that I have the pride of saying I am an owner of the Green Bay Packers. I have gone to all the Stockholder meetings since my purchase and got Ron Wolf's autograph before he retired, Mike Sherman's last year, and this year, I got Bob Harlan's ( a fellow Iowa native), and had my picture taken with him.

Since everyone who knows I am a big Packer fan, I have received some great gifts! Last year, the administration at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids gave me one of my most valued possessions, a signed Packer football. And my Christmas present from the managers who reported to me was a Monday night stay at the Wyndham in Milwaukee near the Milwaukee Brew House where Pack Attack is filmed. I went to the Dec 17th Pack Attack is filming and was in the program's background shots.

As a charter member of the Green Bay Packers Fan Club, I read "Inside 1265" cover to cover and am signed up for the Green Bay Packers cruise next February.

I became a fan of the Packers as they were my late husband's team (his grave usually has a packer wreath on it) and, not only did we watch them whenever they were on TV, he took me to two games, one in Minnesota when John Brockington was playing, and in Milwaukee in 1992 against Philadelphia. We won with that new quarterback, Favre, whatever his name was- " it sure wasn't pronounced like it was spelled". And I've been a fan of that guy ever since.

I have a Packer room in my house, with my framed stock, several posters from the XXXI win, a Favre clock, the signed football, along with three other footballs, one with sound that I use during games as it says, "Go, Pack, Go" and "Touchdown Packers". Other items in my Packer room are mugs, hats, a sweater chair cover, a calendar, Christmas ornaments, a Packer Christmas stocking, a Packer Birdhouse, with a 35-21 address, a decoupage head of Brett, Packer and Favre beanie bears, five Wheaties boxes, pennants, mini statues of Brett and Bart Starr, a coozie from the Broke Spoke and many pictures including one of me in front of the " Home of Brett Favre" sign in Kiln, Mississippi.

Everyone coming to my home knows that they have arrived as a Packer windsock flies in front all year long.

I hope that this information will convince you that I am the Ultimate Packer fan of the year 2002. Thank You- I have to go watch the Packers beat the Red Skins now.
